Ever heard of the domino effect? If you haven’t you are about to experience it.

The big hoopla about gas prices has finally hit the front pages. The only thing, it’s a little too late for us at the lower end of the food chain. Not only are we going to feel it at the gas pump and heating, food will take another jump just in transportation costs. Then there is the byproducts derived from oil. Click, click, and click, down come the dominos.

Our present government didn’t care years ago, when the first warning shot was fired, they have turned their backs to this nation again and again. Things will not change until we change them.

You know from the president on down, these officials have suggested or pushed the position of class, “the have and the have not’s”, well do you really think that those who ride around in their limo’s really care whether we will be hurt by their stupidly, yes I am calling them stupid! The president alone has shutdown drilling, deals that would offer jobs let alone help with the energy needs of our country. Watch how we fall back from what little gains that have been made. And they are damn little for sure.

I ask, what is the purpose of putting so much hurt on us? Why diminish our life style? How can you even look us in the eye and feed us another line? Can any normal person buy an electric car? Push us into cattle cars and put us into a position of more dependency on the government. It’s called control. Speak out and watch what happens.

They (the president and those who follow) will find another way to pressure us into compliance.

I understand the new budget has some really interesting policies to tax us even more, under the guise of fair and balance taxation to the more wealthy.

Well back to oil, when are the Senate and Congress going to get a gripe and stop the policies that are going forward? If they aren’t going to do it, we as their bosses have got to change their way of thinking or remove them from office. I have stated in my past writings that I would rather be an “honest and true to my countries needs” Politian than be swayed by the influences that go on in Washington for just one term and go back knowing I did the right thing for everyone. So representatives of our country, what’s your problem? Your position to good and to sweet to want to do the “peoples work”?

Oil prices on the raise

Oil prices are on the raise, again! I see that some of our media is mentioning the raise. The problem is there isn’t too much being said about this cost. I have been writing about this situation for some time and it’s like throwing you know what against a wall. It stinks, but when it dries just an ugly stain and people just move on.
I have and still say, we need to be independent of outside oil and other sources of fuel to keep our nation free. We import more know than the embargo of the seventy’s. We have an unstable situation developing in the Middle East and surrounding area. Threats are being made. Every time one is made oil and gas go up.
Why do we as a country allow anyone to threaten our way of life? Especially when this country can stand on its own. We have the oil, the gas, and the know how to develop other sources of energy to support our needs.
I have said in the past, we are an oil based society, without this source of energy our way of life will change dramatically. Do you really think the way our government is preceding is going to get us the needed fuels for our energy needs? I don’t think so. Just look at the shoot down the president did, the Canadian natural gas project, jobs and energy to boot derailed do to his political posturing and the hell to the needs of us Americans.
It’s time to tell our congressmen and senators to get off their fat asses and get an
energy policy in place that will give us what we need to sustain our way of life.
I will say this, need some help, I’ll give of my time. I know many others have the no with all to come up with a workable plan. You boobs in the government haven’t got a clue. Step aside you government BS bureaucrats and let other countrymen take care of its people. You are a waste of time. You are not what this country stands for. And while you
are leaving take your repressive organizations with you.

If I were President

If I were president,
Many years ago, when I was five or six, a teacher told me that if I wanted, I could be president. Anyone else been told that? Well six decades later I have asked myself, could I be president in this time in American history. I have thought about being president for some time. Logically I am not a politician, have no political training, but somehow I think that my common sense and directness would be far better than the type
of political misbehavior that has and is going on in Washington. I am a conservative by nature. Feel there is a right and wrong. People should be accountable for what they produce or not produce. My father was a man of integrity and taught me to stand on my own two legs and do what has to be done. Not wait for anyone to do it for me, or ask for hand outs because I am entitled to get something. He also told me another little bit of wisdom that I have never forgotten; “he had more respect for a murder, than a liar” He was a very wise man and his words, and there were many have stuck with me.
I feel we have elected many liars. We have no integrity in our public officials. Only their personal agenda’s that have no place in making our country move forward and be the world’s shinning star.
Since I have not put my hat into the presidential race, but would like to share
what I consider would be my platform and I do promise to stay with my agenda. I would also state that I will keep my ideas as simple and direct. No hidden meanings, No written language that would confuse or cause anyone to scratch their heads in wonder. I guess that would mean not to confuse my readers. So without further adieu, my list of what I consider essential to get us moving in the right direction again.

1- A flat tax, once established the government to stay out of our pockets.
2- No imposed medical insurance. If you don’t have insurance you may pay the piper yourself.
3- The federal government will enforce all laws on immigration. Not here legally you will be sent home.
4- All states have their rights, the federal government to stay out of states business.
5- Foreign policy, support our allies. Cut founding from all who support terrorism
against us or our allies.
6- Drill our own oil and gas. Then move forward with alternative energy sources.
7- Stand down some of our government agencies. EPA, TSA, etc
8- This is a big one, term limits, 2 terms and you are out of there.
9- Another big one, all politicians get the same benefits (health care, Social Security)
After they leave office “get a job” just like the rest of us.
10- lastly, enforce the law of the land, stop trying end run around what has worked
since 1776.

How close are we to the abyss? Let me count the ways! Oil is again on a big rise, we have a government and particularly the president who is totally out of sink with the real world. A comment that set me off was; If you don’t like the gas prices go buy a car from GM or Ford that gets better gas mileage. Now that’s an attitude. And when was the last time he ever pumped gas? More bull shit stacked higher. I have a car that is fuel efficient and I am feeling it at the pump. My fixed income only can go so far, then chooses will need to be made. I for one am tied of listening to the rubbish that keeps coming out of the president and government. We all know that we have the reserves and the technology to produce what we need and not be on bended knee for what other sources are willing to sell to us at a number they dictate. Why are we letting the commodities market bid against us on goods that are essential to our well being? Oil, gas, heating oil, corn, etc. if there is a supply and it is steady, why are we bidding it up? I am a capitalist but what is happening is shear nonsense. The way to defeat this type of terrorism is to open up the supply side and the problem with shrink to a level that we as consumers can deal with. Why are we using a food staple for a fuel source? Corn is what I am speaking about. This is a basic staple of life and many foods come from this one commodity. Are you going to tell me there aren’t other chemicals or sources that can’t be added to make the fuel we need be environmentally clean? No, not this government, got to use corn. Another asinine way of dealing with an issue, create another problem by thinking they are solving a clean air issue. Who is making lots of money on this deal? This is driving up food costs, so those on fixed incomes have to make another decision. Check out the food prices of corn based products? Up or down? Who the hell do we have representing us? A bunch of boobs? Are they self indulged fat cats that need to realize they are not the know- it -all's they think they are. But a bunch of bullies that need to be taken off the hill and sent back home. Let me ask the question again, how close to the abyss are we? Until the next time… JW’r

But there is no inflation…….

This blog started off about the high oil and gas prices, and it looks like a continuation on the subject is in order.
I just hit a monumental high on filling my Hyundai Elantra, $45.51 for a precious 13.23 gallons of fuel. I know what’s the big deal you say, it cost me more than that!
Well, I was also reviewing my credit card that I use only for gas purchases and realized that the additional amount I apply to that card, the balance didn’t go down. It was like shoveling “you know what” against the tide.
Like a lot of folks out there I to am trying to pay down my debt. Believe me; I don’t throw a minimum amount to pay that debt down. Looking over the figures, I need to increase my debt reduction plan my 50% of the present amount to reduce this debt to zero. I am not blaming the credit card company because my interest rate has remained steady. By using the analyst tools I keep track of my spending and I find this very useful in keeping any over spending in check. My travels is based on the use of my car for work and occasional visit up the road apiece to see my grandchildren. So what’s happening out there? The government tells us there is no inflation or it is very low. Do you believe them? Not me! And I know you don’t either. I was talking to a friend just the other day, and he shared with me, it cost him $700.00 to fill his oil tank. This individual is gainfully employed and this cost almost floored him and his wife. But there is no inflation, says the government. Just think what is happening to the folks that don’t have a job, retired, on a fixed salary, but there is no inflation. There are folks in New Mexico who didn’t have natural gas available to heat their homes, or was the fact that if you pay more for it you would receive this commodity, but there is no inflation.
You know, the United States has many resources that we have available for us to provide the basic necessities to keep us warm and able to get to work, etc. Our government is denying us the opportunity to purchase these commodities at a fair price because we are dependent on others in the world who really doesn’t give a dam about us.
And I am getting feed up with our dependency on them for our future and way of life that our forefathers worked so hard to provide for us.
And why are we letting the “chicken Little Crowd” the commodities market bunch bid against our future on oil and gas that is not in short supply? Woo! The world is in turmoil and we will take advantage of the situation. IF we have our own (which we do), and are dependant only to ourselves, the insecure and unsafe world wouldn’t be a factor.
No, we let others determine how we will live. What the hell is wrong with this picture? I have said in previous blogs, “sheep being lead to the coral” for what!
Do you want the government to control your life? I don’t and I resent the “nanny state” that is being imposed on us. I have asked in the past where is our self sufficient desire to be free standing people? Why are we allowing Washington pull us around?
Why can’t we use our own oil, gas, and coal? Wind is not there and can’t supply us with the electrical and heating needs.
I ask, what is it there for? Just to look at? Go for the alternate energy, and get it right in the mean time don’t deny the US population the right to our pursuit of happiness the way of life our great grandparents, grandparents, and parents intended.
Washington, project us from our enemies BUT don’t baby sit us! I and my fellow citizens can take care of ourselves.

Until the next time.

Hello, to all it’s been a while. I think its time to start to voice some of my thoughts. I have been quiet too long.

As the government takes control of our lives, through handouts, regulation, and taxes, when do you think the “workhouse” test will apply? Workhouse, what’s a Workhouse?
Remember poor Oliver asking; “more please sir?” Ok my boy we’ll take care of you, but off to the workhouse, with you!
Now that I have your attention, what’s a workhouse anyway? If you could ask the first settlers of our country, they would have given you a very long description on this English establishment. Don’t pay your debts, need assistance, and god forbid you were born in such squalor that child became part of the workhouse also? The workhouse, the poor law and amendments were real. Dickens wrote about this practice in his novel,” Oliver Twist”
From England’s law books came; “The Workhouse test”, was a condition of the Poor Law Amendment Act of 1839. It stated that anyone who wanted to get poor relief (welfare) must enter a workhouse. Are we developing the workhouse model two hundred years after this English accepted norm of the period? Remember England took care of its handout population. Our government will do the same (welfare and other means), but these individuals will be trapped the same way the poor of “Merry Old England” did. (Not the poorhouse prison), but subjecting the population to stay within economic limits so they will receive handouts from the government. Just like Oliver holding out his bowl and asking for more. An excellent way to control the population wouldn’t you say?

I repeat;

Will the “Workhouse Test” apply or some form? Will our children be subject to “The State will take care of you”, BUT; here are the strings, and their terms. What are you willing to do for the government in return?
Finally, where has the American self reliance gone? Please tell me!

Until the next time.

Err What's comming?

$65 oil is coming (maybe)

A top analyst expects crude prices to start plummeting. If you don't believe it, you're not the only one, and a few stocks look good if you're in the skeptics' camp.

This guy you have got to read!

"The match has struck, the fuse has been lit, and four or five years from now OPEC producers are going to be drinking their own oil and choking on it," says Tony Kolton, the founder and president of Logical Information Machines, a provider of research to most of the world's major energy-trading companies for two decades”.

Speculators unmasked

Kolton, a specialist in the history, composition and psychology of the energy market, believes that speculators were without question behind the run-up of prices to $147 per barrel in July and that government threats to expose and punish their behavior spooked them out of their positions in a hurry.

Now this is a guy after my on heart, alright Tony Kolton! I have said this since 1973. My statement has been they like drinking tea and can substitute oil for it!
But I don’t believe the prices are going to change to help conditions for this fall and winter.
If we have storms that could effect (perceived effect) supply or Russia keeps up with their antics and screw with that oil flow though Georgia, or any number of reasons that the speculators can come up with.

I want my reads to look over this one. Thank goodness more have been picking up the banner and the facts keep coming out. This one is called the American Solutions, give it a gander.

And finally Nancy seems to be back peddling on some issues. Seems she changes with the weather. Her comments;

Pelosi won't limit vote to offshore drilling
Carla Marinucci, Chronicle Political Writer

(08-14) 19:07 PDT -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday firmly rejected the idea of a House vote solely on the issue of offshore oil drilling, calling it "a hoax on the American people" backed by oil companies.

Instead, she said, she wants Congress to tackle a compromise comprehensive energy plan that would include alternative energy sources and curtailing tax breaks for oil companies.

"You want to drill? We want the royalties for the American people, and we want that to pay for renewable energy resources," the San Francisco Democrat said in an interview for KQED television's weekly news show, "This Week in Northern California." "We want to connect all that together."

Pelosi said she wants to end what she called the failed energy policies supported by "two oilmen in the White House," referring to President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney, former oil company executives.

"They want us to do more of the same," she said. "So they've come up with this gimmick, this hoax" that says if drilling is allowed in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and offshore, "it's going to bring down the price at the pump."

"Ten years, 2 cents," Pelosi said, arguing that 10 years would be the time needed to reap a small benefit to most Americans. "Even the president has said it isn't a quick fix. ... I can't allow a hoax to come to the floor."

But she would consider a vote on drilling "in the context of a fuller, more comprehensive energy package" that would include ending some of the oil companies' current tax breaks.

Big Oil, she said, wants to drill and "not pass their royalties to the taxpayer. They want us to subsidize the drilling."
That's why alternative energy - solar, wind, oil released from the strategic energy supply and natural gas, which is clean and abundant - should be mandated as part of the plan, she said.

And now check out the latest verbiage from the house of Pelosi;
Pelosi receptive to considering more drilling

Email this StoryAug 16, 7:30 PM (ET)By DINA CAPPIELLO

WASHINGTON (AP) - Democrats' stance against offshore drilling has shifted more, with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi signaling on Saturday her willingness to consider opening up more coastal areas to oil and gas exploration.

In her party's weekly radio address, Pelosi said opening portions of the Outer Continental Shelf for drilling would be a part of energy legislation that House Democrats intend to put forward in the coming weeks to address oil dependence and high gasoline prices.

Lawmakers will be able to "consider opening portions of the Outer Continental Shelf for drilling, with appropriate safeguards, and without taxpayer subsidies to Big Oil," said Pelosi, D-Calif.
Just weeks ago Pelosi seemed resolved to block any votes to allow offshore drilling, in part because Californians have opposed drilling off their coasts since an oil spill off Santa Barbara in 1969. New oil drilling is only allowed now in federal waters in the western Gulf of Mexico and off Alaska.

Pelosi's radio remarks were the latest to hint that the energy debate in Congress is still evolving, and that Democrats are budging on the issue.

Congress left for the August recess deadlocked over how to address $4-a-gallon gasoline. Democratic proposals to tap the nation's petroleum reserve, curb oil speculation and force oil companies to drill on already leased federal lands were blocked by Republicans trying to force votes on offshore drilling.

Yet any vote on drilling is likely to force the Republicans' hand, since it will likely be packaged with unpopular proposals to tap the petroleum reserve and recoup unpaid royalties from the late 1990s to pay for renewable energy projects.

"This comprehensive Democratic approach will ensure energy independence which is essential to our national security, will create millions of good paying jobs here at home in a new green economy, and will take major steps forward in addressing the global climate crisis," said Pelosi, who criticized Republicans'"drill only" plan.

Republican leaders called Pelosi's proposal a ruse.

She "is deliberately misrepresenting the facts about our plan in order to shift attention away from the Democrats' shameful record," said House Republican leader John Boehner of Ohio. "Her new effort appears to be just another flawed plan that will do little to lower gas prices." Boehner and more than 100 House Republicans refused to depart for the summer recess in protest of Democrats' refusal to have a vote on their proposals.

The pressure to expand offshore drilling intensified last month when President Bush lifted an executive prohibition on drilling for oil and gas on the Outer Continental Shelf. A congressional ban remains in place.

Polls have shown that voters have grown more supportive of more domestic oil production as fuel prices have climbed.

Can you stand any more? What is that old soap show? “ So as the world turns” according to Nancy Pelosi.

Until the next time
